There is almost a universal phenomenon where dealers let EVs sit on the lot with a completely flat battery. I was considering a used EV purchase until realizing this. Even have reached out to a few dealers about it hoping it was a temporary state of charge, nope none of them seem to care at all.

I was always entertained by the ‘real-time’ analog MPG gauge in my E30. It was more a gauge to know engine load but made a game out of seeing how little I could make it move.

I will say that when you own a Jeep it’s good practice to multiply every repair time or part installation time by a factor of at least 1.5.

Was driving thru Southport, NC a couple weeks ago and saw a mint condition VFR with the same MERICA paint scheme for sale at a local used car dealer. Immediately I was a child again with my Micromachine bikes jumping over the sofa armrest. BRRAAAAAP!

So...rich people tend to have no touch on reality for “everyday people”. And I guess when you’re a billionaire, that lost touch looks like, “Hey let’s make cars only cost $35,000, that’s ridiculously affordable.”
