The A.V. Club

Embarrassingly, my 10 year old son just caught me watching the Rewind video as a result of this article... And called me out for it. The first thing he noted is the ridiculous amount of dislikes it had gathered... Especially relative to last year. I knew he watched a lot of YouTube, but I had no idea how attuned he is.

Paul has had multiple chances. He continually fucks up instead of learning and actually evolving. Maybe in a few years he’ll be a good guy but he has had multiple instances of being a fame-hungry asshole who cares more about how he is perceived (and how it may mess with his money) than how he actually chooses to

The fact that YouTube fans are not only surprised by their omission but mad at YouTube over it is proof that there’s a huge disconnect between actual reality and YouTube’s perception of reality. YouTube wants to present its platform as a positive place to interact with cool people online, whether you’re doing Fortnite

Holy shit, you are overthinking this. Maybe people are downvoting because it’s just an embarrassing video made by a corporation who thinks they know what’s “hip”, right down to the 90's and 2000's phenomenon where you add Will Smith to a thing and hope for the best. I am 100% sure the video would get the same reaction

This article feels like an oversimplification. It reads like someone told the author “write something about why nobody likes Rewind” and the he just pumped something out in 15 minutes.

This article is kind of like that cancer that Tasmanian devils transfer from individual to individual through biting each other

Controversial take- Pewdiepie is fine and not a racist piece of shit. It’s easy to say he is if you read headlines and don’t provide context. Why, for example, does this article not mention his subscriber battle against T-series and him raising 300,000 pounds for the CRY charity? Most people aren’t all good or all

Your forgot:

Statues, too! Of honorable men.

But they had a flag, and they respected that flag. NFL players take note.

I think after the 5th or 6th slam on Papa John’s pizza the article kind of loses the thread, as all of a sudden we are pretending that Pizza Hut isn’t the same nasty garbage just with more locations.

From a scientific perspective, it’s a problem because you can no longer call it a rainbow flag.

It’s all oversight and the result of the long-winded development process.

In a parallel universe, your parallel brain is parallel okay.

My brain hurts.
