Yeah, Bad Blood might be a useful thing for people engaged in conversations about action movies and women, but the video itself isn’t didactic.

While I’ll enthusiastically join the lamentation over the lack of female leads in science fiction, fantasy and action flicks, I’ll not join any interest in Swift’s boring, inoffensive and forgettable corporate pop.

Wtf is io9 tumblr now? This parody was awesome, and Batman’s singing is hilarious.

This sort of proves the point that I think that Bad Blood was trying to point out (as much as a music video can point out these sorts of things): there’s not a ton of heroines out there in the science fiction / fantasy film world when compared to their male counterparts.

I think you have the purpose of the video a little backwards.

Pff like the original video was so great. Bunch of tottery, ineffective looking scifi lady assassins posing with guns oh I feel soooooooooooooooooooo empowered.

I’m sorry, but... inclusive or not, the original music video was awful. Awful song, awful video, awful amount of head-swelling from the awfully egomaniacal T-Swift.
