Transferable tax credits are the biggest fucking scam. It's so stupid.

I attempted to get back into One Piece in 2020 but after staring at an episode list that went on forever I gave up. This looks good though and I'll probably pick it up

Meant to specify Socal. Northern CA seems fine

Dear God all of California sounds insufferable

Still wrapping up with Stranger of Paradise. I’m really liking it so far. The story and dialogue is kind of a mess but I can get passed that. The job systems work really well and are just fun all around to play.

Some good Adrian Brody content

Lot to unpack here, but wow the early 00's were fucking wild

Honestly would love to see a planet size map in an open world game. I want to drive 8 hours to my next mission

They got put on a lot of publisher's shit list a few years ago for being assholes (sometimes it was justified). I think they're still feeling the effects of that

Yeah even on ps5 the game looks pretty rough. It's like theres a filter over everything

I’ve been absolutely loving Stranger of Paradise so far. I won’t make a judgment on the story yet because I’m expecting some big twists and I think Jack is a little smarter than he’s letting on. It’s also a Team Ninja game so they don’t have a great track record with deep stories anyway. I’m absolutely fucking loving

Stranger of Paradise! I'm ready to kill CHAOS!

Nioh was basically Ninja Gaiden Souls so there’s still a bit of that flair in this one.

There was a game hint page that mentioned different dimensions so I’m guessing the time loop stuff is also a convergence of every other FF game into one dimension at the beginning and end of the FF universe.

Yeah I wish the game tied into the events of the first game a lot more. There was a ton that they could of done with. Especially since they retconned the happy ending of the first game so much. I would definitely recommend playing Lightning Returns. It's extremely weird and the ending is absolutely nuts but it wraps

Played the Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (God I hate typing that full title) final demo last night. I'm really liking this game. I have no idea how the pitch meeting came about, but letting Team Ninja make a Final Fantasy 1 spiritual remake with references to every other FF game is absolutely fantastic.

Part of why I love XIII-2 is because the story is such a fucking mess of time travel bullshit and weird timeline things that don't really match up. Caius is such a good villain though that it makes it all worth it.

Wat

Kevin Conroy is still the best Batman casting.

I’m still pushing for a Batman Beyond movie. There's so much they could do with moving past Bruce and moving into future Gotham
