Isn't driving fast a typical event in pretty much EVERY car ad? Isn't that why we have the "professional driver on closed course" type messages?

Except the shoulder wasn't open... it had cars parked in it.
Even with voice systems, I usually just start mashing the bottom row (#, 0, and *). I haven't found a system that won't just take me to an operator.
Curse you scienceman! I don't need you out there burning down my dreams.
Ya know... I suppose if it was mounted right next to your gas tank, and it had a full tank of gas. and maybe if you were transporting some tanks of helium (you know, for kids)
Maybe it's just my experience (and having always been the one calling for the tow... as opposed to a repo, or whatever), they've always been very reasonable.
In regards to all the people pointing out there were two people in the car. Given the violence of the wreck, the fact that anyone survived was the lucky part. Even if one died... I would argue that the other was indeed the luckiest person.

A track day is certainly competitive, and it's certainly an event, but it's not a "competitive event" in the way that an organized race is. So, I don't know. (there is something to be said about the cost…
I guess I should have been more blunt. I'm a software engineer that worked (just recently left) for a company that dealt with a certain amount of materials (we inspected oil/gas pipelines).
