This was one of the best books I've ever read. I didn't get a reincarnation vibe at all or a "you are not alone message". My pessimistic ass got a "we are fucked beyond repair" vibe and it was all so clear and believable—the trajectory of self-centered destruction and consumerism was terrifying.
