Fuck, I could watch bro-dozers slipping on ice all day...

They were used as an alternative to airbags for a while. While airbags were becoming a standard feature, any car that didn’t have airbags had to have automatic seatbelts. I think it was mandated, but I’m not sure. Once airbags became standard, automatic seatbelts were deemed pointless.

1st: You can continue to try to twist that however you want, but this is simply them seeing an opportunity to get money either directly or indirectly. You’ve got a pretty weird outlook on the world, Raphael.

First Gear:

No, Yugo tell him that.

I think you’re giving the buying public too much credit. Trucks and SUVs sell because that’s what the manufacturers want to sell them. They want to sell them because the margins are better, and the fuel economy standards, as they are written, are easier to achieve with a bigger footprint.

I feel like this is what would happen if Donald Trump Jr. owned a pickup truck.

Even if you do buy new, it probably doesn’t matter.

Those crossovers and SUVs are also DRAMATICALLY more fuel efficient than the same size vehicles were 15 years ago so maybe they are getting the efficiency they want.

My god the profile of that thing is so ugly. Holy crap.
