You’ve completely missed the mark there. Brotemkin below gets it right. Going into DmC, the series’ combat had become ridiculously bloated, with a piss poorly control scheme to match. DmC was like a much needed power washing with a much easier to grasp but similar in depth & move count combat system.
Which is always ridiculous when you consider how massively DMC4 is the worst title in the entire series. DmC was 10000X the game that P.O.S. was, and I LOVE the original PS2 games.
