It was, but it’s sales & implementation rate WERE TERRIBLE for that market. The floating point performance niche it had at launch was quickly surpassed by commoditized consumer GPU hardware and it’s obtuse & niche design (XDR memory bus say what??? This was such a huge problem for sales that IBM had to redesign the

1st off = Neko (RPCS3's lead dev) is currently making around $50K a year through Patreon to lead the development (which is open source, freely accessible) full time, but totally at his own pace/rules. Now ≈$4000 a month isn’t Cemu [Wii U emulator] kind of money like Exzap’s been rolling in all year [$35K a month

Umm. I think you meant to say “Soary”. I would also have accepted “Sorey”. :P

This dish is widespread around the entire U.S. Southwest. It’s a staple of Western U.S. “Mexican” cuisine (and a dang good one too!). Carne Asada fry plates are everywhere here in Utah (SLC resi), as well as Arizona, Nevada, and California among others from my personal living experience.

When the freaking hell did Todd come back?!? I could have sworn he was still at Vox.

Wow.... At least I haven’t let all my dead & in all likelihood (with how sickningly common fentanyl analogue cut’s are becoming in the average corner dope around here, and elsewhere) soon to die friends whom remain trapped in that cycle turn me into a sad, hollow husk of a person. Instead, about 2 years after I got

Come on, have you seriously never heard of GameFly before? Remove the internet/mailing and replace it with physical, brick & mortar stores and you have this new GameStop program. If you knew anything about copyright law, you’d know this isn’t any more illegal then selling a used game, be it by a store like GS or by

That’s not what this is in any way, shape, or form. Any all textures seen in the video above are those from the game disc. Only thing being done here is some shader manipulation before the output is sent to the display. The models, textures, etc... that these shaders are acting upon remain 100% identical, even if the

I was once addicted to opiates for nearly a decade, and was a homeless heroin user for over a year. I also have degrees in both psychology and sociology with an emphasis on deviant behavior / criminality. Not trying to sound like an ass, but I know what I’m talking about. The only reason heroin became so in vogue

Quick tip, if there’s ever a 90's edutainment game you can’t remember the name of, just look up the released software lists for The Learning Company and Broderbund on Google/Wikipedia/etc... and there’s a 99% chance you’ll find what you are looking for.

Gizmo’s & Gadgets. Widely considered to be the peak of Super Solvers, and one of the very best pieces of software The Learning Company ever put out during their existence. IMO, it’s the best edutainment game ever made. The enhanced (gfx & sound among other things) Windows CD-ROM re-release version (vs. the DOS

At least there’s a legitimate in universe reason for this. Morty’s just that exact kind of sadistic freaking asshole haha.

Also turns out that Treasure Mountain and Treasure Mathstorm! are actually 2 entirely separate Super Solvers games. Seeing as how I’ve never played (or even heard of) Treasure Mountain before, it might actually hold up just fine. Worth a shot at least.

It’s kind of amazing how many people remember Treasure Mathstorm! being called Treasure Mountain. It’s like a collective, 90's kid embeded false memory haha. I know I did for years and years, till I replayed the game early this year.

And yet another 90's kid in this comment thread that gets it, even when they couldn’t remember the dang game’s name. A real shame the article’s author couldn’t/didn’t do the same. G&G forever!

In other news, any/all cybernetic monkey’s can gtfo of here with their gods damned bananas. Seriously, can’t they see I got tons of random vehicular s**t to find in this ridiculously powerfully ventilated warehouse that seems to have skipped put on the invention of stairs/elevators. Like seriously Morty, get rid of

There’s actually an enhanced Windows version of G&G (came out on CD sometime in the mid-late 90's) that’s far and away the definitive way to play that game, so I wouldn’t even bother with DosBox. Some simple googling’s all you need to find said Win version, and how to get it running on a modern machine. Lol have fun!

Lol I loved TM! as much as any 90's kid, but man oh man has that game aged horrifically... Haha definitely don’t go and give it another go if you want to retain all your warm & fuzzy memories of it. Gizmo’s & Gadgets on the other hand is still a total freaking blast to play today, and surprisingly still educational.

Reinstalled that one (along with some others, like Gizmo’s & Gadgets of course) earlier this year, which as I kinda expected, wasn’t all that particularly easy to do on my monster of a Win 10 PC (AMD Ryzen 7 1700 8c/16t @ 4GHz, Fury X, 32GB [16x2] 3200MHz DDR4, 960 EVO NVMe SSD, 1440p 144Hz FreeSync IPS), and man oh

The lack of ANY G&G references, whatsoever, in a god’s damn Super Solvers article on Kotaku just about made me start crying. It was simply too freaking brilliant to deserve such a snub (and likely the cause of countless millennials being or becoming engineers today).
