Based on the architecture and banners of the city in the first scene, it looks like at least part of the movie is set in Neverwinter, so I guess that confirms a Forgotten Realms setting, which, given it’s the primary setting of 5e, comes as no surprise.
If this movie does nothing else but get WotC to re-designate Owlbears as beasts, I’ll consider it a success.
