I’ve seen players talk about how Axie Infinity was making them rich. I’ve seen people talk about how it was “helping” poor workers in 3rd world countries. I’ve heard them talk about how it’s the future of gaming.

The nearly uncountable number of historical events and basic scientific and mathematical concepts that need to be, rather than accepted fact, part of a vast, centuries old global conspiracy, for the flat earth to be true, is beyond belief.

Fortunately, my company has return to office as optional now, and as far as I know, that’s not changing anytime soon. Anyone that is coming in has to show proof of vaccination. I hope it stays that way.

Do I miss the big public turn-outs at my local parks for Community Day? Sure. I miss a lot of things about pre-pandemic life.
