Sasuke actually started out of another batshit crazy competition show on TBS called Kinniku Banzuke (shown on the old G4 cable channel as Unbeatable Banzuke). Granted, there’s a lot of insane shit going on with each of the first three stages in Sasuke, but it pales in comparison to the stuff they expected contestants

So you’re saying Josh McCown thinks he’s Batman? Seems legit.

Debatable. If your game plan involves digging deep into the rulebook for shit you can try, that’s not exactly a good thing. But then again, that’s just my opinion. Not forcing you to subscribe to it.

Honestly, I’m more embarrassed they fielded such a shitty secondary than I am the false start that they’re complaining about. Did it look like a bending of the rules? Probably, but then that’s what the Patriots tend to be good at. It’s shady as all fuck, but that’s what they do.

Their biggest weakness seemed to be that Pittsburgh’s SECONDARY doesn’t understand how to play defense. Doesn’t take a booth full of coaches to figure out how to exploit that.

I guess this is Tomlin’s excuse for not covering Gronk the whole game?

The sad part is that the rest of the Big Ten suspected Brady was a cheating bastard back when he was at school in the whore that is Ann Arbor. This is nothing new, here.

It’s the comfortable mediocrity that Tomlin has thrust the Steelers organization into during his tenure. Seriously, Chuck Noll still has more enthusiasm, and he’s dead.

These letters make me weep for America. Not because they’re so horribly written or so full of hatred of the NFL, but primarily because the people writing these letters had nothing better to do with their time.

Where’s Count Rugen when you need him?

Well, did my growing up there, so it was drilled into us about that distinction for the 16802 ZIP code.

Close, but Beaver Stadium is in University Park, PA.

Agreed, it’s probably high asking price for a hockey franchise at the NHL level, but given the fact that Lemieux swapped all of his back pay to take the ownership lead and turn the franchise into a financial success (and winning Crosby in the post ‘05 Draft Lottery certainly helped in that regard), this is just pure

You’re talking to someone that experienced the program’s initial offensive attempt at a shotgun formation...in 1999. People excoriated Larry Johnson when he made a comment about the fact that the offensive scheme was too outdated and predictable, but that many of us Penn Staters quietly agreed with.

Well, now that the sanctions are gone, and the scholarships are at or near where they should be, there’s enough personnel around to try and attempt new stuff. This will be an interesting season, regardless, since a lot of the excess crap has gone away. It’s going to be like what 2012 SHOULD have been.

My apologies. Most people from Altoona are assholes.

Well, being tied up with recruiting sanctions and a lack of depth in key areas will (now, at least) kind of hamper your approach to playing the game. Hopefully as the kids in University Park develop here under Franklin, that boredom goes away and we get some idea of a game plan that doesn’t resemble, “Up the middle,

I’m still trying to wrap my head around how fucking stupid it was that the UMD brass fired Friedgen when all he did was get the team back to some level of competence in the ACC. Of course, now that they’re in the B1G, and given their tendency for being a huge bunch of jackasses, I say fuck ‘em!

I’m hearing good things about the o-line this season. It’ll be interesting to see how they start out here on Saturday. IF they can keep it together and IF they can stay healthy, Hackenberg MIGHT have a decent season.
