The problem is that the role and the associated pile of shit that came with it (rightly or wrongly) is how we remember the guy. Yeah, it sucks, and yes, I feel for the guy, but unless you’ve lived your life under a rock since the prequels came out, there’s absolutely no way you don’t immediately think of the situation

You probably didn’t see them because like most sane people, you don’t go into PSINet Stadium to watch a Ravens game with “normal” people. There is no such thing in terms of the Ravens fanbase.

Funny, I thought being drafted by the Ravens was bad for his career.

And it’s been how long since the Flyers have held the Cup? 14,628 days? An 8 game winning streak over a single team (with its own problems, no less) is something pretty mediocre to settle for in the grand scheme of things.

And yet, the Penguins backed into the NHL playoffs this season, and did the Flyers even willingly contend for a spot this season?

That never stopped anybody.

I was in Columbus once. It was for work, so I got paid while I was there. There was a part of me that wanted to stop by the ‘Shoe and piss on it, but I thought that’d be bad form (I’m an alum of another B1G school). That really saddens me that between tOSU and Nationwide, that’s all that city is really good for (well,

I did that once. Riding the Light Rail. And was promptly corrected by an idiot Ravens fan that insisted on calling it Ravens Stadium. That’s a whole special kind of stupid right there.

Granted, I’m originally from central PA, and have lived in DC/Baltimore for the past 13 years, myself. I just like calling it the FU Center because it’s funny. Saw on that little chart Kevin posted there that the Phone Booth’s name is going to be up for sale here soon. Can’t wait to see who’s dumb enough to be

Not for nothing, but how the hell did Nationwide pull off having an indefinite deal on the Columbus arena? It’s not like the Blue Jackets are any good to justify that type of agreement.

Lots of people still own the Flyers, starting with the rest of the Metropolitan Division.

Sadly, you missed that part in your link that quoted the Sports Business Journal.

That’s exactly why the FU Center was so fitting. Because everybody knew it was just one gigantic pile of shit.

It’s shit like this that makes me miss that First Union acquisition of CoreStates. Even the Philly faithful had no problems calling the place the FU Center. It was fitting.

Honestly, I was appalled at the city of Glendale for entering this agreement in the first place. I was actively rooting for the agreement to be rejected and having the Je...er, um, “Coyotes” move to a city that actually wanted them.

Hell, I don’t agree with about 90% of what John Oliver thinks, but damn if this wasn’t fucking hilarious. And honestly, that’s quite an improvement over the standard fare you see on T&T TV (really, it’s been 17 years since I’ve been there, and wow, did I have to lower my expectations).

Both.

I don’t know. An ass kicking?

Let’s see: 2-1 Pirates series win, Pirates outscore Barves 17-13 over the weekend, and are currently 6 games over .500, while said Barves are 2 games under .500.
