Usually when apple has spoken it eventually comes true. Where are your floppys? How many times have you used non-USB keyboards or mice the last 15 years? How many CD's/DVD's have you used in your computer lately? APPLE HAS SPOKEN! :)

That's just basic diminishing of returns principle: imagine that you can construct a computer chip that performs well, costs will rise exponentially to create chips that perform better, better, better. Linear progression in chip performance will go along with exponential growth in cost. That's the case for everything

"they don't last longer, they simply don't" => repeating something doesn't make it true (though it makes it sound more true). Pcmagazine had a sample of some 63000 pc owners and apple came out on top of reliability. That's not anecdotal evidence, that's quite a big sample size.

7 years of homework a night? How stupid were you that it took you 7 hours a night? Getting an advanced degree is easy but I can't for the life of me imagine how someone who takes 7 hours to do homework as a teenager ever finds the time to get an advanced degree...

so your kids can't go on wifi-networks with their phones anyware, can they?

I guess they're saying the exact same thing about you though. And I can't help but wonder who's the most realistic.

There are genius teenagers... If your parents are just "normals" and you're uncomfortably intelligent, you can just play your parents, teachers etc like a fiddle. You're looked upon as a paragon, but basically live your life the way you want it...

Keep telling yourself that teenagers are DUMB, if they're anything like

How is this complaint even à thing? The iPod connector changed once since 2001... Once. name a single portable device brand that only changed ports once and have only been using a single port type. Zip.

Don't pile Christianity on one heap, the Roman Catholic church has openly accepted (physical) evolution since the 1950's. Maybe America's different, but nearly all christians in Roman Catholic Europe accept evolution through natural selection and the new synthesis as truth.

We wouldn't know the difference, wouldn't we? What science would describe as randomness in your scenario wouldn't really be, but scientists would have no way of knowing since "god works in mysterious ways".

The fact that you think a deity is evil and thus you hope that deity doesn't exist doesn't contribute anything to the discussion of wether or not it exists. (neither does wanting or believing God to exist)

Some (like me) simply argue that religion (and I'm agnostic, not some kind of zealot for an organized religion) tries to ask and answer different questions. Science is about relationships between physical properties of the universe, religion about it's meaning. Like syntax and semantics. It's wrong and nonsensical to

"and will more than likely save you a lot of money" isn't exactly true, research shows that it's actually financially more interesting to buy a new one every year than to use it untill it breaks. If you use that $800 phone untill it breaks, you're buying a new one every 4 to 5 years, which costs you somewhere between
