Except that as typical of those who put bumper stickers on their cars, those running around with a Coexist sticker usually are only willing to coexist with people who share their viewpoint. All the ones I have run into are completely close minded.

I always think of NASCAR as a little more strategic, like endurance racing. Drivers have to manage the tires, fuel, etc, and pit stops take longer, sometimes resulting in changing of only one side’s tires.
And ironically, one of his three non-points race wins at the Cup level (he never won a Cup points race) was on a road course: The NASCAR Thunder Suzuka Special at Suzuka in Japan in 1997. I’m probably just proving your point. A NASCAR driver with a reputation for weakness on road courses is still a pretty good road…
Indeed, an interesting case is Travis Pastrana. Ridiculously talented, well placed rally driver in addition to his dirtbike exploits but his highest overall season place was 14th in NASCAR.
I find it incredibly boring to drive the exact same car day after day after day. It’s like sitting in a classroom…
part of my new opinion:
I am not going to watch this video, but the rider is lucky, especially with those injuries. We went down to the area over the summer and had a friend crash on the Cherohoala Skyway, at the start where its real twisty, he went down into the valley a bit. We were ahead of him, we stopped and waited for him to catch up…
It really is all about eliminating work commute. For my kind of work that generally means being in the city, to be able to live in the country and a walkable commute (and not be a farmer) seems pretty rare (and very nice!). As a kid growing up in the country with many city friends, I was very envious, after the…
Man how I wish my E60 M5 ownership experience was more like this. My story is more typical though. My dumb ass thought the car had hit about the bottom of its depreciation curve (I was wrong). My double dumb ass also thought that I didn’t need to pay to get oil samples taken before purchase. So my soon to be broke ass…
Sad news. I have the marine-mammal based twin in the Lincoln MKT. I’ve had it for two years now, and absolutely love it. We’ve done a 9,000 mile roadtrip without complaints, there’s been no issues, rattles squeaks or anything in my ownership. The best part about them is that they depreciate like a stone. I picked…
You raise some great points. Yes, standardization sounds like a good idea, but with a caveat: too inflexible a standard could interfere with creative packaging.
What type of performance are you interested in? Power or handling?
If you don’t want to deal with regulators and lawyers, do something that doesn’t involve the safety of human lives.
Whatever will we do? Hand wash our cars? Are you crazy?
That’s why me and my friends sold one quite immidiatly (to Tilo :D) after buying two of them and concentrating our ressources on the second one.
As I told my friend Andreas, if there’s anything I learned from this, it’s that I need a Starion.
That was quite the rabbit hole. And it left me with a strong desire to acquire a Starion.
This is wonderful and I know have the unexplainable desire to go find a Mitsu Starion .
We should totally have a Jalopnik car trading forum.
