David Cross reminds me of when Liz Lemon goes to her high school reunion on 30 Rock. She doesn’t want to go because she was an awkward geek that nobody liked.

my gay perspective: not once was it mentioned this person is a male, and all the lyrics could easily apply to a woman.
We have all been there. Even as a woman experiencing harassment it can feel like the way things are done. He gave an honest, clear eyed assessment of his role in the situation which left the victims at the center and spoke to what he wants to change in the future. This is what we as a society need to do.
He said that he wrote it off as Harry being a stereotypical womanizer. I think the term he used was he saw the behavior as more of “the boss chasing the secretary around the desk,” than assault, and he now realizes how sick that was. But I am not interested in raking him over the coals on this. I think this is a…
Tarantino is a strange guy. He just kind of gives off that vibe. That said, I feel like people who are more open and comfortable with their own strangeness are a lot less likely to do the kinds of things Harvey Weinstein has done.
I think it tracks with my previous opinion of Tarantino. He’ll probably get a ration of shit for this, and it won’t be undeserved, but I think part of what makes him a remarkable artist is that he can do things like this. He can indict himself. I think this might change him, and he might help change the culture of…
He probably didn’t say anything because it was easier not to. I think he kind of alludes to not wanting to be the one who rocks the boat being what kept him other men who knew quiet. I’m just glad to see a man admit he knew and did nothing and realizes that there isn’t a way to excuse it. It is shitty, but at least he…
You can report a crime even if the victim doesn’t, but whether you should without the victim’s consent is another issue. For a prosecutor to get a conviction, they need a first-hand account from a witness, ie. the victim or another eye witness.
Under the American legal system, is it possible for someone who was not the victim and not present at a crime to file charges against a perpetrator because they’d “heard a rumor” that he’d raped someone?
Well yeah. It’s like telling people to solve global warming by not having kids. Maybe that would help at some minute level but the reality is there are systemic problems that aren’t going to change if we put the burden on individuals.
Going by the avclub article, there were three that he knew about:
This.
And frequently the back of a hand if they stepped out of whatever line they were mean’t to stick to.
forgive my mansplain but...
I don’t want to be sacred. I want men to keep their hands, and their laws, off my pussy. You think you’re helping, Kelly, but you’re not.
John Kelly would have been “a kid growing up” in the 50s and 60s. I know the old folks all tend to be a little selective in recalling the good ol’ days, but holy fucking mother of fuck, people. If a man of his supposed intelligence really believes the 19fucking50s were the glory days for women being “looked upon with…
An overweight purebred puppy at that. Is this supposed to distract us from the allegations that have come out against him recently? Dummy.
Maybe it’s the angle, but that “stray husky” looks suspiciously like a pure bred golden retriever puppy...
I know I often randomly find stray purebred dogs worth hundreds of dollars just wandering around unattended at my luxury rehab center.
