I guess? Only 20 percent of the US population voted for Trump - thats remarkably small and thats about the amount of stupid people that exist in the United States.

Trump had, unfortunately, a good story. It was a horrible, racist, fucked up story…but it was a story. Clinton tried but she does not do stories and they're just not her style (also why she lost to Obama - the man had a fucking tale to spin).
*whisper* blaming lefties for Trump is insane *ends whisper*
Its not false equivalency lol. I said "neither candidate was terribly appealing", not "both candidates are the SAMEEEEEEESSSS". That's not even that controversial. Trump is a monster, no disputing that. Hell I voted for Clinton but purely out of fear, not interest or enthusiasm.
The lack of oversight is probably overall a good thing but the jokes definitely feel way sloppier than Fey's usual work, which is almost always really well-crafted and tight.
I'm fine with the second amendment (shrugs). I want restrictions on it, but what the government should have all the guns?
Same here, I was never a Bernie-ista. He was certainly closer to my politics but wasn't really leftie enough.
Well represented by whom though? Seems like American Democracy especially is rooted in centralizing power and in tandem with capitalism makes it difficult for people to even *want* to participate in politics. No wonder no one voted, neither candidate was terribly appealing. The current system deliberately takes…
But what if you don't even buy into representative democracy and want something more radical? What if you don't want to get swallowed up
I mean you gotta understand people have made fun of the liberal left FOREVER. There's a Phil Ochs song called "Love Me I'm A Liberal" for fucks sake.
CRAZY MILLENNIALS SO ENTITLED WITH THEIR CALLING THEIR MOMS
But what if you don't like the capitalist system? Or feel like the Democrats secretly do jack-squat for the lower classes, people of color and LGBTQIA folks? I mean I'm not gonna yell at anyone for being a liberal, its just not where I stand on the political spectrum.
I mean I'd consider myself more of a free floating socialist or anarchist, so liberalism just isn't enough for me and a lot of people around my age (I'm 25).
Welcome to why I don't call myself a liberal, frankly. There are way too many assholes calling themselves liberals whose politics are uninteresting, open to complexity, or who'll listen to anyone who isn't in their demographic.
She's liberal, but yknow part of the trade off of that liberalism is that she doesn't really understand complex social issues or anyone who's not a white New Yorker.
As you should.
I had that same thought.
Oh I agree as I said in one of my other comments - I don't think this is a great love story but it did really affect me personally because I connected to the feelings so strongly. Amusingly, this is how I feel about Alien: Covenant.
My ex-girlfriend did put on my t-shirts post-coitus.
Now I'm wondering based on other comments and my own response if people who've been in similar situations romantically are going to be grading this on a curve.
