Yeah his monologue is so bone chilling. A great touch that he takes off his glasses before he starts, setting him apart from the other agents.
I guess Pike, just because it's such a bad movie and she's pretty good.
The World Is Not Enough isn't great but it has one really excellent Bond moment that like a lot of Brosnan feels like the rough draft of Craig's performance: When Bond shoots Elektra when she says "You'd miss me", he says "I never miss" (corny but whatever), and he leans down and kisses her forehead. M looks utterly…
Yeah, its possible I just massively prefer the conclusion of No Country for Old Men at this point. I do think though even if you agree with Fargo having the same ending over and over is pretty tired.
This criticism was kind of where I was at by the end of season two - Hawley is an obviously creative guy but the show by a certain point feels empty. It has some strong performances but its not critiquing or playing with the original material all that much - at this point I'd be more interested if Hawley was actively…
God yes - he was consistently excellent on that show. And you could tell he knew EVERYTHING about the real Rothstein.
He's thinking probably of more of a House-like show but…yeah sounds right.
The guy is everywhere! Does he sleep??
He's a very good J. Edgar too (though the best is probably Boardwalk Empire).
Herzog's version of Priscilla would be at least unique as hell.
You know a show is doing something right when you're already laughing at Forrest in a boat enjoying some peace and relaxation because you know everything is about to fall apart.
"These pancakes couldn't kill me because I was already dead."
I agree though I did skip over Forrests' date with Ashley Tisdale - that was just too awful to watch.
I'm sure its wonderful!
I liked that Lucille doesn't really *like* Forrest but she doesn't want him to die either.
This was the darkest possible ending beyond Forrest being killed, and man am I weirdly glad they picked it. Forrest was trapped before by a show that was destroying him…and now he's trapped by his own shitty choices (as has always been the case) and by a show that doesn't even exist. The ending is a terrible warning…
Great cast but I'm starting to see the limitations of a crime series based on the film.
I haven't watched this yet but I have a feeling seeing an episode after Legion and Logan will be like going from a slice of apple pie to a Tedeschi's candy bar.
I share Mantzoukas' deep enthusiasm and passion for Face/Off.
