Barrymore and Olyphant's slight unease with their chemistry is so, so funny and I'd love to see it pop back up in the next season.

You really get the sense that the Hammonds would be delighted with Eric as a boyfriend or future husband with Abby, and a big part of the show's writing that works is that all of the core characters like each other (well except Dan but he was a piece of shit).

Mary Elizabeth Ellis is hilarious and kind of scarily hot in her intensity - all I really have to say. Love that they're giving her a funny, weird character to play with aside from the Waitress.

Kind of? Even before that you have some really wincingly bad dialogue and some overall questionable story decisions. The characters just are not smart or interesting enough.
