Aisha Tyler

Hello, I'm Cookie. Shirley?

Huh, this and Part Two are by far the best episodes here - I agree on the (general series) flaw of more Olaf/more conspiracy time being a problem, but nevertheless this is the most creative and inspired two parter by far.

Wait you mean a tv show literally called A Series of Unfortunate Events is mean? Fucking shocker.

Right?!

That's like exactly what I would say about gory bug movies.

Count Olaf either as himself or in his shitty disguises being grossed out by Mr. Poe's coughing is never unfunny to me.

It's a good app really!

I'll cut him *a little* slack in that he had to write the script in a very short amount of time but Ayer has issues as a director as it is.

He and Marty are good friends alright?

Tidal user here. There are thousands of us! THOUSANDS!

I liked how Fatale went through decade by decade and adapted to each period just a little.

King Lear is probably his best play (and works best in text - I agree with Beckett that its impossible to stage properly) but Hamlet is so elegant in its plot and beautifully constructed.

The Street by Ann Petry? Its a bleak book but beautifully written.

Been reading a ton lately - finished Canada by Richard Ford (well written but lumpily plotted and you could've cut a good 50 pages from the first half) and The Fade Out, Act 1. Brubaker has to be one of my favorite genre writers working today.

Guest is so cold blooded that it actually works out.

Addicted to Love was ruined once Ebert pointed out that the French guy is clearly the nicest person in the movie *and* I heard the WeHateMovies impression of Broderick.

I'm not like a HUGE Bob's Burgers fan (It's good and I'll put it on if I'm bored) but Kevin Kline is fucking delightful in it.

I think the big difference (though there are clear parallels) is Lenny doesn't necessarily care about the masses knowing who he is. I think he means it when he says he wants to be mysterious and unknown to the Catholic public (his ego is clearly in play though with the other cardinals and his mind games with them).

Yeah you get the sense that he wanted to show people what he could really do (not that he was ever hated but he's done a lot of roles where he just has to be handsome and very charming). He sinks his teeth right into it.
