I mean that's how he looks in the books (like pretty much exact description) but fair point.

I HATED Carrey in the role for exactly that reason.

He was part of the revival with Cerveris and Denis O Hare - he played Lee Harvey Oswald and the Balladeer.

Are we implying that Handler's wordplay and writing was poor, a word which here means "a strange hot take considering his hilarious gifts"?

I'm okay with this if NPH still can do that kind of quiet nastiness Olaf has (and being that he did Assassins I think he can).

That does look pretty goddamn good.

Yeah its earlier in the collection - juvenile delinquent becomes a pig, like a demented version of Peter Pan.

He's great in The Other Guys as a total lunatic.

Its the human boy-pig from that pants shittingly terrifying Clive Barker story in Books of Blood.

Whoa white twenty somethings doing slacker pop? I am shocked, SHOCKED

It's great how good he is at being a straight man when he was so good as the total goof on Community. I feel like he created the part on Atlanta for himself so he could show his versatility.

If you haven't seen Only Lovers Left Alive it's wonderful and a movie that made me think "Being immortal actually sounds okay."

"We live in a liberal bubble so what do we know?" Jeez Newswire is getting defensive.

This kinda sounds like the plot of Baby Boy.

"Love Trumps Hate!" Yeah because thatll sure help the Mexican man who gets beaten in the street by some racist assholes.

I watch a very, very black comedy version of that plot.

Things my generation need to stop pretending are good just because they grew up with them: bands like Fall Out Boy, Pokemon, and the Jim Carrey Grinch Who Stole Christmas.

Jesus god that koala's stupid face makes me mad.

"(Yes, Swamp Thing is technically a green elemental being, but he was a white man before he transformed.)" Okay you can see why this sentence is unintentionally hilarious right?

For me its just a *lot* of Carrey doing schtick and not being particularly sinister. The design and acting are great, it just feels like a Jim Carrey Burton movie with too much Carrey.
