Captain America's the hero we need right now, but don't deserve.

Watch the Valerian trailer. It's got perhaps the most badass Beatles usage ever

I was watching him yesterday, and he said "someone asked me, 'Bob, why do you only make happy things?' Well this is our little world here, and we only have happy things here. You want bad things, you turn on the news." Ironic hipster appreciation aside, I think he genuinely does make people happier when watching his

Oof I don't know how you do it.

San Junipero. I watched it to take my mind off things on election night, and I'm sure I will watch it many more times. As someone with social anxiety, this election has snapped me out of a funk, reminding me of what's truly important, realizing the tremendous value of the people in my life, and I've made sure to tell

She's still ahead in popular vote; Thanks electoral college (can that be the new "thanks Obama"? Man typing those words make me feel better. I'll miss that guy.).

The world's got a nasty case of the nationalisms. It comes and goes in waves; I have to tell myself that.

He didn't say anything about her being the only one, just that she was the oldest. Maybe she started as a mechanical but was upgraded to synthetic? That's one thing I love about this show, it's like formal logic and deductive reasoning 101, which I need to bone up on as a potential law student.

(Cont.)Because they mentioned Dolores was the oldest host in the park (perhaps disproved by Ford's secret mechanical family), and that she helped Arnold try to destroy the park. Arnold wants to download himself into her so he can access some key information required in finally destroying the park.

Theory:at the center of the maze is the tool used by Arnold to upload his consciousness into the Westworld servers: explains how he's been communicating with them. The MiB is dying (mostly confirmed by him mentioning he wasn't leaving the park this time), and at the center of the maze is a way for him to upload his

Didn't they say sometime ago that this wouldn't be an origin story? It would be an interesting switch to spend more time on the villain's backstory than the hero.

He might have listened at the beginning but now he skips all the cutscenes cuz he's seen them all before.

People still get beat up, and, as William displayed when he killed the Union soldier about to kill Dolores, caring about NPCs creates stakes.

Plus the love of music both shows clearly possess.

It struck me as similar to how Earn kind of wanders around in a daze in this show, letting things happen to him. Makes sense, as she's unemployed now as well.

1 more season! 1 more season!

Same with the hate watching. To be fair, watching a bad show, or more accurately, a show with so much wasted talent (editing, makeup, cinematography is all top notch) is a great lesson on how to make good shows. Helps to have that contrast.

Watch the episode San Junipero in Black Mirror! A tonic for the mopey cynical violent shitshow that is modern entertainment (and the rest of Black Mirror).

The single character or small group episodes are always fascinating and good, but the large group ones are bogged down by community melodrama and dumb decision making. Imagine if this show was just a series of vignettes of different survivors trying to make it in the world.

Yeah, this is the show that mercy kills kids and also features a pet tiger. No tonal dissonance whatsoever.
