I love this video! I also love the awd in my b5 a4, great fun to drive in the snow, grip when you want it, easy to break loose and hoon when you want too. (I live in a county with 80% unpaved roads, so I can hoon with little tire wear all year 'round.) I don't know about newer awd cars, but there's a reason for audi's

definitely not saying I would buy it even if I had that kind of cash, or lived in a place where I could swing it.

I honestly think that that is a pretty fair price considering what the car is. But I'm just an american teen who has a car that almost no-one ever thinks is a good buy, what would I know? What I do know is that the idea and execution are just awesome. (If anyone is wondering what car I was refering to, its an '89

Totally agree with your two choices. I would add the B1 as a third aircraft to that list. Both the SR71 and the B1 have an "I'm about eat you alive" sort of super-aggresive and mean look.

Swap the turbocoupe to a merkur and you have a better sports car by far. No intercooler, but you can fix that for about $100. Merkur is lighter, has better suspension, and in my opinion is better looking.

I wanted to say NP, but just a little too much dough needed at that price. Sweet car though.

There's a merkur that holds/held? the land speed record for modified production 4cylinders. It went 208, but it did have about 650hp I think. That car is my desktop picture.

There's no such thing as a $4000 audi. It was $8000 by the end of the year. Wheel bearings, cv axle, camshaft position sensor, control arm, oil level sender, abs, etc.

four pages to the hand brake? If that wasn't exaggerating, then that is the most ridiculous thing that I have ever heard! ok, never mind, but it is pretty crazy.

Such a great game!

That is largely true for sure. When I was learning to drive, my mom told me add 15 mph to the suggested speed signs, and we were in an E350 extended van. Both my merkur xr4ti, and completely stock b5 a4 can take turns far faster than the suggested speeds.

You can also get a well tuned, lightly modded b5 s4 with the original 2.7v6 for about this price. Less if it isnt modded at all.

You can get a b6 S4 with that engine in it from the factory for about that price. I certainly prefer the look of the b5 S4, but the original engine is good enough, and easy enough to modify, that I question the need of the swap to the 4.2, and as others have mentioned, who wants to take on the head aches of the FOUR

So true though, driving my 16 year old b5 a4 around my college campus, and people look at me like some kind of spoiled rich kid. Despite the problems the car has, which I won't go into. People still ask me how old it is, and I respond by asking them to guess, many will say between 5 and 8 years and my car is no

But the B5 S4 is so much fun... when/if it is working. I drive the far more reliable b5 a4 (2.8v6) at that. Still love Audi, despite their amazing ability to work fine, until the moment they don't.

I had a 254000 mile merkur xr4ti. Love that car, Will beg my father to keep it for me until I'm out of college and can turn it into a weekend warrior. If I could drive that in Colorado winters without dying when I was 16 (I did spin it twice unintentially, and many more times on purpose though), then that Volvo would

My first car was a merkur xr4ti with a broken tach. I didn't really miss it, even with the manual trans. Its not hard to drive a manual below its limit even with the radio way up so you cant even hear the car. My current car is a b5 audi a4, (manual still) and I rarely look at the tach, unless i'm going to be having

I worded that using the word your, because it was easier to phrase that way, obviously I'm not implying you're using these terms in that way.

I'm not disagreeing with most of what you just said there, I've worked on stopping my use of that term, however, if that view is reinforced in others by your joking statement, 1. people are reading too much into what you are saying, and 2. it is their decision to take that meaning from your statement. No-one can

It only takes that message if you take it that way, have you never said something and had people think you met something totally different than you actually did? This is just an extreme case of that sort of instance. I don't condone his jokes, and occasionally they bother me, but he doesn't mean any harm, if any is
