How about accessible like a 35-50k sports car?

better in almost every way IMO

I think the idea isn’t for superiority in performance, but fun while driving. I know R&T has been saying they would prefer some types of cars to be slower because they are so far from their limit at legal speeds that they’re no fun except on a track, and people buy sports cars for the way the car makes them feel, not

What if we just poured it into the rivers? The fish can store it.

S8 is look how rich I am.

A BMW grill joke. Cool.

I remember laughing at that Five Blades article.

But these people are still going to want to vacation. But now they are going to vacation where I vacation. Boooo. Put them back on their boats.

A million times this. They registered in random island nations to avoid paying taxes and so they could pay their workers next to nothing. Fuck em. Hope they all go belly up.

Let them register their ships stateside and pay taxes and then we’ll look into giving them assistance in a year or two.

The RS3 has a DSG because of the transverse engine layout.

The RS3 has one because the Golf R has one - they don't have an 8spd auto for transverse engine applications.

Death by cornbread sounds not entirely unpleasant.

I mean, I put about 20% of my income towards my retirement fund, and at least 10% is discretionary spending - isn’t that kinda the norm? I'll take a 20% pay cut vs being laid off, any time.

Glad to hear that everyone is so excited about getting a couple thousand off a car because a virus is killing thousands (possibly millions) of people and millions are losing their jobs. But hey, I got this for $1500 under invoice so woo-hoo!

I saw this and all it did was remind me that we don’t get the RS4 avant. I mean it’s already on its mid-cycle refresh across the pond.

All that being said, though, my colleague Tom McParland brought up a great point in 2016. The B9 S4s are objectively good, but are they good enough to justify buying over a used B8?

Maybe this is the push the industry needs towards Tesla’s sales model. The dealership model is going to die at some point, this could be it.

Jalopnik commentariat: “Nobody tries anything different.”

COTD if we still did them.
