This contingency table helps reveal what is happening inside the minds of nurses during a full moon. The nurses quickly remember the one time when there was a full moon and the hospital was overflowing, but simply forget the many times there was a full moon and the patient load was normal. Because they can easily…
That’s what I was thinking. Or, I guess what I was thinking, was that if I’m at the store for a proper haul of groceries, I’m using a cart, and I’m not buying much junk. But if I’m at the store because there aren’t any snacks in the house and I’m having a craving, I probably took a basket, and I’m probably loading up…
Pssh, you act as if correlation isn’t the same as causation.
Investing $250 a month into a 1% savings account instead of overpaying your income tax and letting the government keep it free for a year :

Jedi should be above The Force Awakens as Evan said its total payoff the end to the six Episode Vader Fall/Redemption arc that is the heart of the story. Some of the best space battles of the original trilogy where you actually see Capital Ships fighting. Luke fully embracing and understanding his role in the…
Yeah. With the PSVR Sony already has 36 million users with hardware to run it. By PSVR launch it will likely be over 45 million. Even then (assuming you didn’t have a PS4), the cost of the PS4 ~$300 + PRSV ~$300/$400 total, is the cost of just the Rift by itself. If VR is going to take off, I think Sony is going to be…
Generally, you can deduct on Schedule A (Form 1040) only the amount of your medical and dental expenses that is more than 10% of your AGI. But if either you or your spouse was born before January 2, 1950, you can deduct the amount of your medical and dental expenses that is more than 7.5% of your AGI.

I hate the kid and the parents the most in this story. He’s 9 years old and he had to be left alone in the other room to cry? And his whole Christmas was ruined. Really. How dramatic.
Thanks for perfectly illustrating my point!
There was no false parallel. But thanks for taking a break from another reading of Atlas Shrugged to weigh in :)
Funny how people are all about crowdsourcing medical payments on a small scale, but mention that this, you know, works on a nationwide scale in every other developed nation? “Socialism!”
Thanks. My medical expenses were about $50,000 of my gross income in the low $60Ks, so it looks like I have the first requirement covered. The surgery was not covered by insurance. I'll check out the TurboTax link, which is that much more useful since I generally use TT for my taxes.
You do realize your an outlier? For your one bad experience, I can personally attest for at least 10 problem free upgrades since launch.
Great points, ConLawHero. There is no doubt that renting can be better, especially for short time horizons and/or certain financial situations — everyone should run the numbers for his or her own situation. But overall I think you clearly have a better understanding of this subject and am glad you added…
Haha. Thats the best joke I have heard all day.
Who gives a fuck about what Anita thinks anyway?
