Precisely. I don’t believe in erasing someone’s record because they died. I held Scalia in contempt during life, I do the same in death. Personally, I find him (found him now, I guess) a disgusting human being who was willing to relegate women, minorities, gays, the non-rich, and anyone else he didn’t identify with,

Well... you said “weak sauce” so, I’m just going to assume you’re lying about everything you said.

Yes, ensuring people are treated equally under the law certainly qualifies as moving backwards... right?

Wow, quite the poignant retort. Instead of countering anything he said (which would be hard, because Scalia was one of the worst things to ever happen to this country), you personally attack him. Nice.

If you had any legal knowledge, were a practicing lawyer, worked in a court, etc..., you would too.

Awe... someone doesn’t understand what “sociology” means. Let me help you.

That is exactly what I’m saying. Contrast the language used in that article with the language used in this article. It’s night and day. The fact that so many people are butthurt over my comment just proves my point (and ironically, those people are the ones arguing that I don’t have a point).

I actually never said, what about men. I merely made an observation that an article like this with genders swapped would be responded to quite differently.

Let’s try to stay away from generalization, shall we? I’m sure there are plenty of women that don’t care about pleasing men either. Some people are just assholes, regardless of gender.

Do you not understand my comment? The hypocrisy has happened. I literally pointed out that fact. It’s rampant. I just commented on it. I’m sorry you’re so butthurt by words on the internet.

Well, you see, the article was cross linked on Gizmodo. I would never read the blatantly sexist rag that is Jezebel. If I wanted to lower my intelligence, I’d just slam my head into a wall a few times.

I’m sorry you can’t see from a different perspective than your own bigoted one. That’s something you might try to work on.

Nope, just a sociological observation reviewing the blatant sexism from commentors like you.

Brushing aside the vast generalizations and uncited assertions, my comment wasn’t about the empowerment aspect. It was really just commenting on the different ways very similar topics are portrayed.

So, I’m assuming you find vibrators creepy as well, right? I mean, it’s literally the inverse of a fleshlight.

While I would agree topics like abortion are still somewhat taboo, unless you hang around in fairly conservative circles, I find that judgement of women’s sexuality tends to not be much of an issue. Then again, I primarily hang around with people my own age (late 20s early 30s). I’m certainly not broaching the subject

Nope, just don’t believe in double standards and enjoy pointing them out. What’s even more enjoyable is watching people like you perform mental gymnastics to “show” that this double standard is perfectly acceptable because double standards in certain cases are totally fine.

Actually, yours wasn’t sexist, just every other comment. I just find it interesting, from a sociological standpoint, of how women’s sexual habits are championed, while men’s (at least in respected circles and in the news [actual news, not tabloid]) are derided, and often, even innocent things, are called perverted or

Ah... the intelligent drivel I was expecting. Your comment about sums up what I thought. When you have nothing intelligent to say, you say shit like that.
