Nah, I can understand most of his complaints. The only issue is that most other reviewers seemed to enjoy the jokes and art style, but humor isn't universal.
Eh... I kinda wish Kotaku would've designated somebody else to review this. The author clearly didn't like the game's narrative/humour and it almost comes off as a vendetta here. This review was beating the same dead horse apparently as much as Sunset Overdrive reminds us it's just a (***ing) video game.
I'll lump you in that "uneducated teenager" category then, as checking your post history, you're clearly a fanboy (or at least someone who distinctly dislikes Microsoft), as you've been shitting on the Xbox One whatever chance you get in your comments (often completely needlessly).
Meh.
You know, when it comes to nostalgia trips, I owned a copy of the game. I purchased a (most likley) new copy. For that reason, I feel no shame in emulating it now. Especially given the only way to buy the game now is second hand, which gives the developer and publisher no revenue.
These are the snacks we're looking for.
This is the service my loins are craving
You hit the nail on the head. I feel like they're single-handedly ruining the industry I'm working in, just for their own agenda, so it's pretty damn personal.
This post is the definition of childishly trying to start something just to do it.
My gaming loins are a blaze this week.
While not legal, I engage in this practice as well, and I'm not afraid to admit it. If a game exists in which the developers still can earn a monetary gain from it, I wont pirate anything, no matter how bad I want to play it, but for older, long out of print titles from studios long dead where no one sees a profit…
It will be interesting to see if that ever goes to court. If the argument holds then that would legitimize some forms of piracy, which would be good in this case since it means that old games would never have to permanently disappear.
It could get Google in hot water the same way news organizations can get in hot water for relaying terrorist messages.
Not really. Linking to copyrighted material isn't a problem. See: Every torrent site ever.
Still illegal, yes, but as you and me know, it's not an issue, and only the most anal of people actually care.
And?
That's my argument for downloading the games as an ethical pirate, but it's still technically illegal unless you own a physical copy.
Not an issue.
This game looks fun as fuck! Can't wait to play it. :D
