Not really surprising, as someone could easily plough through a game like this in that timeframe, then cancel before being charged. Microsoft spent big bucks acquiring the studio and rights to a property that’s been hyped for a while, they aren’t going to want to lose out on revenue.

Modding is the only thing that keeps their games relevant long after release. They basically craft sandboxes for other people to tinker with.

I’d bet money the story is a forgettable cliche, as is the case with all of their games. Let’s face it, they make sandboxes for modders to go in and extend the life of their games well beyond what they’re intended.

They’ve stated multiple times in documentaries they craft their worlds first, then write stories around them, which underscores why their quests and storylines are always so bland and half baked.

What a fucking moron.

I think they still use their make believe Anime waifu mascot.

I’ll do you one better. Everyone, stop using it.

Much like the people who write this garbage.

She was too busy tripping over herself to get this fluff piece published and patting herself on the back for yet another Kotaku hot take.

It’s insane how many self-proclaimed progressives love performative moral grandstanding just for the sake of it.

Agreed. The Last of Us made smart deviations where they made sense. The Witcher felt like the writers went out of their way to make it “theirs” for no particular reason other than they could.

The only headlines I want to read about Elon:

It’s still fucking ugly as shit.

They’re absolutely doing this for cheap clicks and engagement. If Kotaku’s editors weren’t so openly against anything coming from Rowling, they’d never publish an intellectually lazy puff piece like this about a single player game.

What a fucking tool. Why does every generation have a Kardashian?

I ended up really liking the game after initially hating it and giving up after 10 hours. I came back to it 10 months later in October/November of 2020, during the height of long lockdowns, and ended up pushing through the awful beginning again (I still think it has way too much exposition and over explanation for

His fans are a close second.

I fucking hate those sandals.

Yeah, except Mr. House was smart and intriguing. Elon’s an insufferable fucking moron masquerading as an intellectual.

Man, I just can’t see how this show can continue without Cavill in that role.
