@SeraphX2: VNC has been built into OS X since 10.4 I believe. So I wouldn't consider it extra software. If I were to use the TouchMouse server software, I'd be installing something to duplicate functionality I already have on the host machine.

Why would you need to install software on the host machine? I've been using TouchPad which works over VNC. No extra software to install.

@Bradley P Street: Well, the difference is $24/year. Plus with PandoraOne, you get no ads and no 1 hour idle limit.

I didn't realize there was so much hate for voicemail.

Well, I ended up owing about $1,600 Federal and $800 state.

@Fierock: I think there's a big difference between working from home on your computer and setting up a professional space for which you intend to host clients & customers. (The latter involving zoning laws and such.)

@azzy: It does look a bit better than some other Weather apps, but why is it that they can't seem to get certain UI details right.

Why, exactly, are we still trying to tie a digital file system to a physical paradigm?

(ie, I project I will earn $XX,XXX this year, therefore, I should be paying $Y,YYY in estimated taxes spread out over four payments.) So

So it's settled then. Don't eat PVC. Mister is fine. Make one! Now let's put this to bed and continue to talk about how awesome this thing is! (Sidenote: as far as water conservation, if it's just misting, I can't imagine it would be all that bad. Maybe a couple gallons an hour?)

So very true. I wish I could have shown this to several of my friends a few years ago before they left their respective fields.

It seems like the spreadsheet setup on wikiHow is more of an inflation calculator than a retirement calculator. lily_bart's calculator from Yahoo is a bit better.

If you're on a Mac, I highly recommend the Summarize feature under the Services menu. Though not the same means of compressing text, it actually does a decent job of, well... summarizing text.

This, in combination with the "Summarize" service would be awesome... now if only it would take multi page articles on web-sites and combine it all into one, I'd be a really happy camper.
