@lushalicious: Thanks! And it feels awesome. I am so psyched. I have been terrorising everyone I know - go out and vote! The right to vote is not as easy to come by as some think. I'm 34 and this is the first time I have been able to vote anywhere and I have been wanting to vote since I turned 18.

@50FtQueenie: Thanks! And GOOD! I don't want to be crying alone.

I just voted in Brooklyn today. I became a citizen in 2006 and so this was my first presidential election. That said, I think I would have been emotional, regardless. There were so many people there and that felt great. I made new friends - turns out a lot of us live on the same block - how awesome is that? There was

@MegSpencer: Yeah, I too had a moment when I thought - Oh no, John, she's about to give you a beat down.

@hannahwilde: Oh wait. What about the guy going on about Community Organisers and how it readies you for a career as a trial lawyer or rebel leader - Osama Bin Laden is a Community leader, didn't cha know?

Isn't this the same woman who allegedly has a tanning bed in her home. frugal? Oh and we didn't buy the clothes but they're on the plane but they had to be bought for the Republican Convention.

Walking all over cat-herder steve doocey

"i hate to go into this", but i will!

That was so hilarious. I'm thinking about heading out to the Times Square area to watch "The Bush Doctrine".

@CreoleSugar: i totally agree. when i am reading something here and there is a link to perez hilton, i'm saddened because i know i won't get to the whole story or to hear the sneak preview of a song. i cut him off a while back and i refuse to give him one click of my time.

@VargasVegetarian: now you have me thinking of the boondocks episode with usher, tom and sarah.

i worked with a woman who thought that birthday was most evil word ever created. she could not say it. i myself would think remuneration would be mispronounced more than phenomenon. but that may be because i used to work in audit.

@rednrowdy & @SarahMC: Nsaba Buturo is a man, and so I'm thinking he probably is relating it all to his weak mind.

@PilgrimSoul: such as! or rather, in my world view.

@MisterMoonlight: those are incredibly powerful photos - thanks for the link. the silver lining in the story is when the firemen ignored the police chief's orders to hose the prayer vigil.

Guns don't kill people

@funnyface: haha! i had a conversation like that with some pollster who called to find out about what music i listen to on radio. perhaps your new coworker used to be a pollster.

@TheFormerJuneBronson: what about when he talked about how he explained his appearance to the guy at the front desk and the guy was all - oh, okay?

@TheFormerJuneBronson: @SarahMC: i am seriously addicted to this american life. the boyf has decided that we are going to the moth to experience this storytelling firsthand. my coworkers look at me funny because i am the only person here who listens to npr. even if i'm crazy, now i know i'm not alone.
