How many CEOs continually call someone a pedophile on Twitter? I don’t have Twitter, so I am curious. I don’t agree with all of Musk’s ideas, but he has built several great companies to which one can’t deny that.

Wrong audience dude...but I like where you were going with that...

I mean, it’s interesting that you think that she’s always going to have your back on this. It’s entirely possible (probable) that she’s going to grow up some day and throw you under the bus to her sister. And to be clear, even if the law says that this girl was old enough to consent, this sounds like a classic case of

But I love my wife emotionally,

Okay, I’ll be judgey...you and your sister-in-law either are horrible people or you really don’t love your wife. If you truly loved her, you wouldn’t risk hurting her that way just for good sex.  I hope she finds out.  Not because I want to see her hurt but so she can divorce you and find someone who will treat her

He’s got a point- I don’t see how a car hitting him in the head could make things much worse, either.

What if I told you, you could still be rooting for them, but not buying into the bullshit. It doesn’t have to be all or nothing.

I understand what you are saying - but I see a couple of flaws in that analysis.

How was the first comment not something about the Tardis being a Star Trek thing?

I think we may have found out the location of Westworld and the other parks. The presence of the Chinese military makes me think of the man made islands in the South China Sea; Westworld is probably a man made island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean.

I applaud her and hope she has a long, prosperous, and effective career!

Then you found a saint. Never lose her.

You mean Apu the hard working immigrant who has a doctorate and yet still can’t get equivalent employment? A man who is part of an arranged marriage and is trying to provide for 8 kids?

I’ve thought about it a bit. Adaptive cruise control doesn’t steer the car. The driver therefore has to be aware the whole time of where (s)he’s going. Autopilot does however steer the car and the driver could doze off and leave the car to its own devices, which is possibly what happened on this occasion.

It’s not just a disingenuous name, it’s a disingenuous idea. A half-baked steering system whose behavior you cannot anticipate or understand, which may give up or even silently screw up. In either case the driver is required to take over and assume all liability for Tesla’s bugs.

Steering affords almost no margin of error. There just isn’t time to guess whether or not Autopilot is going to do the right thing.

Or make it inversely proportional to price, for example:

The companies that make and sell these systems are predatory jackals. No doubt this was marketed to this cash-strapped town as an easy way to increase revenue, and I’d bet that the contract was structured so that the city now has no recourse against them.

Several years back, a UK local council (equivalent to City Hall for a town or county) was discovered to have made all kinds of shady deals with private companies. When the legal dust settled, the leaders of the council were required to pay back the money they’d squandered from their own resources. It was a deeply
