I think the reaction is to unrealistic claims. EVs do many things well, refueling speed is not one of them. Does anyone hypermile ICEVs? No, because range is not an issue with their fast refuel times and universal availability.
You need to keep a 20% floor and only get 80% on the charge, giving a 60% usable batteries. You have a 500 mile pack to get that 300 miles?
Except his car moves under is own power after refueling. The Tesla does not.
