I feel like this thread really proves just how refreshing the free exchange of ideas and debate between people who disagree about things really can be!  I know it’s made my night, knowing that some sad little person out there is getting mad about what I’m saying on the internet!

They aren’t asking to be granted the trademark. The suit is asking a court to affirm their right to use the name which they allegedly trademarked several years ago (I don’t know if Lady A trademarked the name), but the suit also states they are not trying to assert Lady A cannot use the name or seek money from her.

That’s ... not necessarily the case. The swastika is an example that everyone points to, but the fact is the swastika really did not have broad usage or an understood meaning in Germany, Europe and really a lot of the world outside of South Asia.
