Nobody's going to see this comment, but can I just say that the Wii U is for me far and away the most-played first-year Nintendo console I've owned since the SNES. The amount of hours I've sunk into Mario 3D World (both by myself and with my fiance), as well as Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is unrivalled comparatively…

I actually liked the 3rd one the best… the hype around the sequel was overblown, as was the backlash around 'microtransactions' in the 3rd entry.

I watched the whole pilot for the US version the other day. Say what you will about its inherent terribleness, but I bet at the end of a 22 episode season it would have been getting better, unlike the UK version which IMO steadily got terrible after about 16 episodes.
