I love the looks of the RF, and am a long time Miata lover having owned at least one NA consistently from 1998 to today. With the new ND chassis being as small and light as it is, I’m seriously considering upgrading and getting out of the weekend wrenching game. I’m especially drawn to the RF. It will certainly be

Despite the potential reliability issues, I’d still buy one in a heart beat if they would sell me one with a manual.

1. When you check the manual transmission filter on Autotrader / Cars.com / Cargurus / Craigslist, and seeing the number of vehicles available drop by two orders of magnitude.

Both this trailer and the previously released commercial (the one with the Stig on fire at the end) have got me really excited for this season. This looks like it could be genuinely good television. Feels like there is actually chemistry between LeBlanc, Harris, and Reid that is both genuine, and also unique from

I find that even though I am in my mid-30's, my perception of the spectrum of wealth and class in this country (the USA), and my place on that spectrum continues to evolve. The geometric nature of how wealth is distributed here makes it very, very hard for anyone to really appreciate how rich the truly rich really

Ummm... You do realize that those are both opinion pieces, right?

Recently returned from a business trip to a couple inches of unexpected early season snow. My STI, which had been parked in the airport garage while I was gone, was still wearing its summer tires. The ~10 mile drive home was terrifying. The cherry on top was that when I finally did make it home, I was unable to get

I own a 2015 STI (purchased in late 2014). I’ve been planning to replace it with a 911 in a couple of years once my kids are big enough to move from full on car seat into booster seats. Until ~2018 however I will need real back seats in my performance car.

Why can’t Subaru just throw some jump seats in the back of an Outback? Then I could avoid having to drive around in a giant 7 seat monstrosity I have three kids and a dog.

Not to be a wise@$$, but isn’t the Fiesta ST what you get when you “add a ton of power to this thing”? Pretty sure I remember these sharing a platform with the Fiesta, but I could be wrong.

Same here. Red 2015 STI base. Previous car was a 2011 WRX base. Before that was a 2007 WRX wagon. All bought new, all with 3 pedals. Also bought my wife a brand new 3 pedal Fiesta SE back in 2012 (though her current car is a automatic Mazda CX-9 we bought used because 3 kids).

If the S5 is available with a traditional 3 pedal manual, then I’m interested. I’d greatly prefer and Avant, but at this point beggars can’t be choosers I guess.

The major upside of to this phenomenon is that if you buy a WRX (or STI, or EVO) new, and then don’t modify it, you can sell it in 2-3 years for ~90% of the original purchase price. I’ve done this twice now. First I bought an ‘07 wagon new for ~$26K out the door and sold it private party in ‘11 for ~$23K. Used that

Ouch. I’d been waiting to drive one of these before mentally committing to the M2 I have on order (mid-2017 build date, manual of course). Oh well, at least BMW continues to offer a few options for those of us who prefer to row our own. Can only hope FCA comes to their senses at some point in the next couple of

This would definitely be in my consideration set for my next car if a manual was available. With Audi dropping the manual in the S4, BMW is the only game in town for a upscale small sedan or coupe (2/3/4 series) with a manual in the $40-60K price range. I’ll be replacing my 2015 STI with something more “mature” in

I think that people who are commenting to the effect of, “Don’t leave you kids in a car unattended, idiot!” are missing the point. Almost none of the children who have died as a result of being left in a hot car were left there intentionally by the parent. Almost 100% of cases fit the following pattern:
