Fictional Larry David is probably still on the outs with HBO after the shrimp incident way back in season 2. HBO is also likely more than willing to poke fun at Netflix.

Surprised there is no mention of Albert Brooks stepping into the show now that Funkhouser, his real life brother, has passed.

Didn’t the Riverdale crew recently get in trouble because KJ Alpa fell asleep while driving because he was so overworked and exhausted? I’m shocked none of those actors have quit, they seem miserable there.

That feels like some extremely important context.

The PA who got paralyzed was the safety person for a lift that was going up and down.  Her job was to let people around the lift know when it was moving.  She decided to sit UNDER THE ARM OF THE LIFT on the device and poke at her phone.  She was, I’ll re iterate, the person who was assigned to keep people aware of the

Why is Deadwood not at number two? For me it goes The Wire, Deadwood, then, y’know, the rest. Is Mad Men better than The Sopranos? I don’t know and I don’t care, they’re both good, they’re just not The Wire or Deadwood.

Fucking style-over-story-and-substance Sherlock!

I came to Breaking Bad quite late but have been through it 3 times. Definitely rewatchable.

The Comeback is too damned low. Although I was surprised to see it there at all

You should also consider this list is from the UK so it’s the metric system. You need to roughly triple the number then add a third to figure out where a show would be in the USA.

My two immediate reactions from just glancing at the Top Ten:

This was annoying to me, because we’re seven episodes in and it felt like it spoiled the end for me, but also it wasn’t really funny beyond “hey we’re referencing a thing”

And there it is, most people are just too fucking stupid to understand the issue and so we need to be sure the only opinion they have access to is the one that you approve of.

It’s basically the same way I felt about 2 Live Crew 25 years ago. Yes, their music is vile and sexist but should it be banned from stores? No.

Is there not another take of, Netflix should not continue to buy specials from Chapelle as he has shown that his material isn’t just offensive but is hateful, while also saying they shouldn’t take this special down.

I don’t think it’s so much defending his position as the right to state it. There are obviously calls to remove it from Netflix, which is hard to see as anything but censorship. I’d rather it be out there for people to discuss than be erased.  I also expect that people who agree with him were already predisposed

Wow, that was the most polite “This person suuuuucks” I’ve ever read in my life.

Companies pay money to reach this ... this lowly commentariat? : )

Not a bad take though, they showed their working.

Great point, let’s all talk about our favourite classic Hope Van Dyne comics!
