I saw the movie yesterday. Personally I thought that jump cut, if you can call it that, was really interestingly done.
It’s too bad about Stuber, I really wanted that movie to be good. I don’t know why.
I’m tempted to be angry about this, but.... if you want to wait in line for this with would-be Instagram influencers for three hours, more power to you.
I just bought the game on iOS and... the splash screen is some creepy anime bullshit. Not sure I would want to play this on the subway.
I feel like people are way too concerned about a games-as-a-service-pocalypse. The last 3 triple-A games I’ve played were:
I also love that each episode has 10-30 minutes of him berating Sona and Matt Gourley.
It could really end up anywhere.
I remember seeing Drive in theaters and thinking, “that was a bad B movie that was shot in an interesting way.” His work since then, to me, hasn’t really elevated above “bad concept shot well.”
She’s only in a handful of cutscenes in the first game. It’s a lot easier to fix clipping issues in a handful of scenes than in a 20+ hour interactive game.
I had no idea Lea and Adele were so mistreated during Blue is the Warmest Color. It’s insane that the shoot was meant to take 2 months and it ended up taking 5! That this director got work again is unconscionable.
While I broadly agree with you, I’ve always thought of Nolan as a great storyteller who’s an awful dialogue writer. The first acts of all of his movies are thrilling except for all the television-pilot-like, “you were always this type of person” character exposition. I think the dude(s) need to get someone else to…
That study has been debunked:
I originally made a joke about the whole A Dog’s Purpose drowning thing, but it turns out the video was misleadingly edited: https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/01/a-dogs-purpose-animal-abuse-gavin-polone-response
> Place them so they are completely outclassed and lose every single match they play...
While I don’t like the shoddy storytelling of the last two seasons, I think yesterday’s episode was vastly better than the one before it. The payoff of Dany’s turn is at least an interesting narrative choice, even if the setup doesn’t earn it.
Not to mention that video compression algos have a REALLY hard time rendering snow flurries.
> And then I told my boyfriend and he was like, ‘Mmm, should be Jon though really, shouldn’t it?’”
Totally deserved, Burchett is a great player.
