In fact, I would go so far as to say that Batman in particular is more interesting as a constant reboot target than, say, Spiderman. We've already seen bad representations of Batman, and it didn't stop Nolan from bringing something fresh to it. And Snyder hasn't treated it nearly as badly as Schumacher. I'd be more

I would watch a Denis Villeneuve Batman. Hell, I'd watch a Denis Villeneuve "Ernest Goes To Camp."

I hear ya. I'd definitely go to the Alamo if I lived down there.

It's probably my favorite theater in NYC too, though because there's food service, I wouldn't recommend seeing an extremely dramatic movie there if they're bothered by sometimes seeing waiters walk past the screen.

It was great, but I have no idea how they'd market the next season without spoiling that twist. (I'm glad they put the show out regardless.)

I don't understand why the movie spent so much time with Gosling being miserable about his winning lottery ticket and so little with Emma Stone (apart from her audition experiences, which felt like much less screentime than the jam seshes with John Legend). Stone's character was a lot more interesting to me than

In New York we have Crif Dogs, which makes a hot dog with cream cheese, scallions, and everything bagel seasoning. It's awesome if you don't have to worry about anyone smelling your breath for the next day.

I'm curious what you thought of the sound-mixing of the musical numbers? Maybe it was the crappy theater I was in, but during the very first scene, I could barely here what those people were singing. And it seems like an odd mistake for the director who made Whiplash, one of the best sound-edited movies I've ever

Definitely definitely definitely see Arrival. It's probably my favorite movie of the last 5 years.

She's also great in the pool scene when she makes Gosling's band play I Ran. OTOH I thought Gosling sleepwalked through the movie in "smarmy Clooney" mode.

And let's not forget a lucrative potential career in pornography.

I feel like the mystique of the book series (if there ever was any) has long been dispelled by the knowledge of what George R. R. Martin is like in real life. If we found out JRR Tolkien had a Xanga, it would take a lot of the gravitas out of his work.

Second Russian Circles.

Considering that vodkas are made from potatoes and grains, which have gluten, I don't think it's unreasonable to think there might be traces of gluten (but I'm not gluten free so have never cared to find out). Shrug.

Yeast is a fungus and vegans eat mushrooms.

A lot of my negatives were quoting negative words. My top one was referring to that 30 Rock where Lemon explains why the c-word is misogynist.

He really threw a tantrum with that "Not Star Wars" comment.

I think Conan's best work is in the remote segments, but I think Conan the person needs to have that show in front of the audience.
