The original Mercenaries was easily one my favorite games of that generation, it's a shame the second didn't quite deliver and that we never got to see what could have been down the line.

I liked DoW2 quite a bit but I was always more keen on the first one.

Duke Nuke Forever was an affront on two levels, one being of course that it was a bad game and the other more important consideration being that it stripped us of our ability to make Duke Nukem Forever jokes for all eternity.

I have not, mostly on account of being real lazy. But they're on the docket for eventually.

This weekend I wrapped up a rapid binge of Tudor period-drama Wolf Hall, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Yeah I've been meaning to pick up the Celtic DLC, but at the moment am still deep into my Eastern Roman Empire campaign and after that am looking to do some Viking action, but the unique gameplay of the Celtic factions definitely intrigues me.

The Old Blood could definitely be played independently of The New Order as its crafted in part as a stand-alone, and in terms of story chronology The Old Blood leads straight into the latter so there'd be no issue there. New Order is definitely worth playing though, and itself runs around 11 hours so it's not a huge

Would you like to hear students of the UCB Comedy Theater discuss inside-baseball about the UCB Comedy Theater with alums of the UCB Comedy Theater relating to drama that once occurred at an indeterminate date at the UCB comedy theater?

Flora, Fauna, Fire…

Autochorissexual sounds like it ought to be a stage in moth development.

And for more Wolfenstein goodness, an old-school style $20 stand-alone expansion comes out for it today.

I always wondered when or if the Marvel and DC film universes were going to start becoming as incoherently interconnected as their source material, and alas it seems they're beginning to approach that territory now.

I haven't but that sounds really fascinating so I'll have to seek those out. Good recommendation.

Late-period Tolstoy is very much in the same vein, one can appreciate the artistry and passion still present in his later works but once you reach say, The Kreutzer Sonata, things have taken a decidedly disagreeable ideological/theological course.

Does anyone on The Walking Dead count as something other than personified bland?

If you liked 2033 but felt it had unfulfilled potential, you should absolutely seek out its sequel, Last Light, which takes most everything good about the first game and refines it considerably.

Such an under-appreciated title all around. Action! Adventure! Ant-racing minigames!
