Eh, I mean I think it can be assumed that some of the corporate heads of Nintendo are miserly old assholes, and while their actions and daft PR speak might be quite disappointing that doesn't change the value or enjoyment brought by great artists (and non- shitty people) like Shigeru Miyamoto.

He's learned so well from 80s action movies it brings a tear to my eye.

Yeah the Mass Effect games can be just as pandery and embarrassing as anything else, and the 'entire race of sexy blue space-chicks' bit probably tops the bill there.

A dick in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Once you make it (and you will!), I will absolutely direct my services to Noodly Appendage: Attorney at Law.

A fairly light pop-culture weekend for me. On the movie side, I caught up with Kill Bill, another one of Tarantino's films that I'd never actually watched in full despite having absorbed most of its key moments via cultural osmosis. As anticipated, it was a stylish foray into absurd ultra-violence.

At the first high school party I attended it sort of felt like people were going through the motions of trying to make said cliches a reality.

I'm going to be boring and say that I went to mine, and actually had fun basically.
