I went with a Mormon.

I have a friend who has a pair, although I think he was technically sharing them with some professors or something.

I mean, to be fair it's not as though everyone in said cities was wiped out in real life. The Romans actually mounted a fairly modern, if chaotic, evacuation effort.

Just tense, it's actually a fairly traditional samurai movie in many regards.

The scene when Koji unfurls that banner in the final battle is definitely up there in the pantheon of kickass action moments.

It drives me up the wall that almost every recent movie set in the ancient world feels the need to copy the muddy 300 aesthetic, not even because I inherently hate it but because they half-ass it and don't think about the rationale behind the visual style they are swiping.

A personal favorite of mine is the TV-edit of Ferris Bueller's Day Off whose cuts of extremely mild language are not only wholly unnecessary but also extremely incongruous and poorly implemented. It's unfathomable to me why they still show that version on TV now, but it makes for great unintentional comedy.

It's definitely not just you, Nu-Disqus allows people previously confined to CNN etc. to wander on over here via its connectivity and you know the rest.

You expect me to engage with things before I open my mouth about them? Jeez Mr. High Standards over here.

Would you ask Spike Lee that question?

I want to like this because it made me laugh, but am also incredibly repulsed when I conjure the mental image of yogurt in this scenario.

This shit is the worst.

Booo.

All of what you say is correct, but in terms of the why I'd basically just look to the fact that this was handled by low-level law enforcement officials who were definitely not thinking about the big picture.

All dem' hip bloggin' ladies be doin' KFC like thiiis

It gives me headaches trying to figure out what the hell is going on in their meetings that the purpose of every update ends up being the removal of functionality.

I mean, speaking from personal experience though in relation to my examples above, I certainly would not describe the girls I've turned down as 'beyond hideous'.

Doesn't this sort of assume you are attracted to everyone though? Which may be the case I suppose but I doubt you are interested in banging every person on earth.

We'd be looking at a Song of Ice and Fire situation here, about a decade's worth of story and one that very occasionally finds it way into the present!

Also never underestimate the ability of people to completely miss cues and hints in the moment. I can tell you all about that!
