Tivo makes a good unit, but I think even with the free service, it’s still a little pricey compared to an android box with external usb drive at $100 or less. This is probably a good deal for the non tech savvy though.

Seems like Microsoft would develop a better automatic way to install updates silently in the background to avoid user interaction and wait time. The updates are necessary, but the method is annoying obviously.
