Also make sure you subscribe to your local papers/other hard hitting Nationals (if they are doing good work). We need the media to hold Drumfs feet to the fire. I donate to the Guardian and rotate between online subscriptions to the NY Times/Washington Post/Boston Globe and will probably subscribe to the LA Times once

In order to cope with election madness I’ve been watching funny clips of the West Wing. I know tons of us looove the West Wing. What are your favorite moments?

This is actually from Polk County, Iowa. Which is surprising because normally they are pretty reasonable.

I randomly bought the same item.... if been adding it to pre-made sauces along with some tahini paste. It makes it taste more “take out like.”

Yes. I work from home and being on the VPN is noticeably slower on my Wi-Fi vs. the Ethernet cable. Without it I’d get so much less done.

I used to sleep in front of a box fan when I was little. I’d pull out my strawberry shortcake sleeping bag, my cabbage patch and curl up in a ball. Eventually my parents gave up trying to get me to sleep in my bed.

Or you live in a big city with lots of options. I live downtown in a big city and there are plenty of options. And if if you for a large company you tend to want to stay with the and move up the latter. Most jobs with my company in this area are concentrated in a few buildings downtown.

After my Dad died I was helping Mom clean out the basement so she could sell the house. I found his porno collection... It was uncomfortable to say the least. I put every thing into the trash. Also, he know he was dying so why not get rid of it before he died so he wife wouldn’t find it.

That is brilliant. Do something where she is in a little box in the corner of the screen. Maybe something though Fanthom Events so everyone could attend in their own town.

Have you been soaking your feet every day? I’ve found if I soak everyday it really works. The skin would peel off in sheets, it was gross but supper cool.

Use it elesewhere. I had some anti-aging stuff that made me break out and I took it to work and put it on the backs of my hands. I have no idea if helped but I made me hands feel nice. Try to oil on dry feet/elbows, especially once it gets cold.

I went to Vancouver this week and did the Grouse Grind! I thought I was going to die (at one point that would have been preferable to having to continue on :) I took me 2 hours 45 minutes which is not a good time at all but I finished it! I am so proud of myself. Hopefully this will inspire me to work out more.

Some cases for what ever reason tend to stick in people’s heads. In the case it was a pretty dramatic thing. The child was not alone but with friends (where you think kids will be safe) and he wasn’t. I spent most of my life in Iowa and we had Johnny Gosch a paperboy who dissapeared in 1982. I’m not sure tons of

That is my plan.

Yes... after I finished typing my response I put two books on hold and downloaded an audio book on my phone. It is pretty much the greatest thing ever.

Anything by Stephen Clarke. He writes funny books about the continuing adventures of an English man who moves France. Its been years since I read them and they still crack me out. Also - you can check out audiobooks on either your kindle (if you got a tablet version) or your phone.

You can go to your library’s site and request books. Once I check out an ebook it asks me what format I want it in and when I click on Kindle it goes to Amazon’s site. Once I check it out it automatically gets sent to my kindle and when the loan period it over it automatically gets checked back in.

Does anyone have any suggestions of fun things to do in Vancouver BC? I’ll be up there the first week in Sept. I’m planing on doing the Grouse Grind and am crossing my fingers that the bike share will be doing day passes by then.

Originally I would use a regular peeler and then slice the peels again lengthwise. I know of a julienne peeler which is slightly less work then the first method. I don’t have a spiralizer and don’t plan on getting one. I love zoodles with a little bit of olive oil, cherry tomatoes and feta cheese.
