So it sounds like they set themselves up for failure. Their goal was to make something groundbreaking like HL-1 and HL-2 when the goal really should have been to just finish up the stupid story arc. The "episode" moniker should have been enough to justify this to themselves. The previous episodes were just refinements

yeah, I don’t want to minimize the tragedy this guy endured growing up, and I was trying to give the most generous possible read of this, but it really does come off as a scam.

“If I have to buy a fifth ticket, I’m going to be so pissed off,”

Feldman is full of shit. Maybe something did happen to him , but in Feldmans own book he talks about how he hooked up Corey Haim with a grown man to get him off his back , because Haim was a horny teenager and kept begging for him to hook him up with girls. He is just trying to make money off a tragedy. All this me

I’ve played WoW for literally over 15 years now, and I can’t fathom why ANYONE is interested in “Classic” WoW. Seriously, the game was shit back then. At least half the classes had two specs that were either bad or outright did not work at all. Some specs were badly designed on purpose - paladin or druid tanks were

Yeah... just jack those 80's 90's characters straight into my veins. I don’t think anime has gotten worse or anything, but that older style really speaks to me.

I’ve hated vacuous bullshit “reality TV style” entertainment since I knew it existed. I grew up in the VH1 and MTV reality era. I hated it then, I hate it now, and I hate this. Seems pretty consistent to me.

I cannot imagine something I would less like to be involved with, consume, or even be aware of. Just reading this article made my day worse.

They most certainly have that right.

NBA: Bends over backwards and gets down on their knees to make China feel better after a GM expresses support for Hong Kong.

I agree 100%

These posts by Riley MacLeod area always filled with his ‘’passive’’ hate for the game, it’s so unprofessional, probably the worst editor from Kotaku tbh ( oh also he never approves my comments lmao )

I think the mech haters were misguided in the first place. I thought BRUTES were fun to use and fun to try to deal with. It creates an asymmetry to encounters that led to a lot of tense moments for me.

How the fuck is THIS GUY ungrayed and I'm not?

As someone who does not like exclusives of any kind, and so don’t like the whole Epic Game Store push, the criticisms feel overblown to me. All Epic is doing is paying people, and so to the degree that people don’t want games not to come out on Steam, they should be equally furious with Valve for being so cheap. And

I think a lot of the actual criticisms of the epic store are overblown, for sure. there are some concerns that seem valid (fraud, a lack of security), but steam has had and—to a lesser extent—continues to have similar issues. the most valid concern, in my eyes, is the one that’s likely underlying a lot the others:

Long been a fan of Game Maker’s Toolkit.

I will watch Dashie yell about games forever, my boys.

I’m a huge fan of noah caldwell-gervais’ video essays. they’re incredibly long but also in-depth in a way I wish I had time to be in my own criticism

Ones that don’t go out of their way to be crass or shocking. My kids watch Peanutbutter Gamer. He seems like good people, having fun and making money doing it.
