People have been talking about her face for a while, she showed up somewhere in like, May, looking like she had a different head. So I guess it's actually kind of a dated reference that happened to be timely.

I'm going to keep watching this, but it's just not clicking at all for me yet and I even quite liked the first episodes of Happy Endings.
Don't like Gil at all and I like Sarah Wright Olsen in general, but she has zero character here.
I dunno, I kind of assume it's going to get to be more ensemble-y at some point..?
Maybe

Is it a fan favourite?
I… cannot see why.
I definitely didn't mean that it wasn't a good album, just that I think it was the last thing she really did before there was a tipping point into self-indulgence.

Yeah, a really surprisingly soulful voice. I normally wouldn't be a fan of a musician putting their children on stuff, but no complaints for Tash.

I dunno, just had look at the tracklist and I think Northern Lad and Pandora's Auqarium are a bit mehhh. Especially Northern Lad - I'm usually a big fan of a good old Tori ballad, but it just kinda plods on a bit.

I kiiiiind of like Promise (and I love the 'be there, be there' in the bridge, Tash is a pretty great singer) but I think it's trying too hard. I think I heard the 'promise not to take your phone' thing and was like 'nope, I'm out'. And then I think the chorus could be okay, but the instrumentation is off for the

That's what I thought the whole point of Gold Dust was going to be - maybe orchestrate stuff like Raspberry Swirl or the more electronic-y stuff rather than just recreate songs that already had the piano and strings going for them. Definitely a missed opportunity, though I did like the version of Flavor (but that's

I actually really like all of Under the Pink (how can you not like Baker Baker, by the way?) but agreed on Yes, Anastasia. I don't see why see she cut half of it out when she redid it on Gold Dust. I get that maybe she was just getting straight to the big strings and drama, but it just feels wrong without the build up.

You think?
The music isn't bad at all, but the lyrics are so cringe-tastic.

Choirgirl is some really great stuff, but I think that was just coming up to the point where she lost the ability to edit herself, she desperately needs a producer other than herself to say 'you know what? Maybe we leave that one off the album'

I really love Geraldines
I think if you cut out the middle three tracks - 'Maids of Elfen-Mere' (Ugh, just that title), Promise and Giant's Rolling Pin - it's easily one of her best albums.
It's not as bloated as some of her other stuff, but it's still like 'edit yourself!'

Yep, Debut and Post were all over the place (in a good way) so that one track can't really be representative of the album. Like you could hear 'beats, strings - Homogenic' or 'too many dirgy horns! - Volta', but not so much for the first couple albums.

I thought Dylan said she had ADHD, no?

It is weird, it seems to definitely be a part written for her.
But I don't think Lorelai and Sarah are completely the same (Sarah's less high-maintenance* and a lot less focused), but the situation she's in with Hank is straight out of Gilmore Girls.
Like… it's difficult to think that the writers haven't literally

I actually kinda liked that Camille was overbearing.
I'm not sure if it's to do with Camille's late-life 'I NEED TO BE ANYWHERE BUT HERE!' thing, but she always acts like she couldn't give two shits about anyone in her family.

You see, Luke? That's how you react when your ex wants your girlfriend to not interact with her daughter, you backwards-cap wearing dope.
Seriously, Lauren Graham must be in some weird permanent deja-vu mode at the moment.
Eventually, Amber will go and work reporting on Obama and the universe will implode.

Christina isn't super relevant, no, but her voice is fucking fantastic.

I think Jessie J isn't more popular because she's an awful human being.
I mean, yeah, sometimes you can't believe 'reports' of diva behaviour, but I've seen her in a few interviews where she was being a perfect facsimile of 'nice' and you can still just tell she's an utter dick.
I actually liked 'Do It Like a Dude' a

Right? I mean, I get that Lorelai has Sookie and Rory has Lane and "more importantly they have each other", but come on, you make some friends at university.
I guess you could count that couple of awful recurring girls she hangs around with at Logan's parties, but… let's not.
