There are a lot things we teach our children that we also tell them not to talk about loudly in public (going to the bathroom, someone smelling bad, etc). You teach them the names and then tell them that kids' body parts are private and they shouldn't show/talk about them with anyone but a parent or doctor.

Yeah when my son was 3 and he would see me eating hot cheetos he would always ask for some. I would tell him it's too spicy but he would insist so I would put one in his mouth (to avoid the powder problem) and every single time he would look at me like I had betrayed him, like this

I don't know about self loathing, but it is is weird that she (or whoever) titled this "advice for teenage girls" when it's obviously just about herself. If it had been titled "Advice for my teenage self" I would have known what to expect.
