Because laws are not sufficient to address it, it lies in a legal limbo. A grey space where insufficient attention has been paid and given the general targets politicians aren’t prone to paying attention. I suspect as Millennial and Gen Z politicians make it into office we’ll see more attention spared for it.

It’s a the catch 22 of “letting them win” by showing she’s surviving she’s able to lend some semblance of stability and comfort to others going through this with her but it put herself at risk. I suspect she’ll be more careful now (though it’s sad she needs to).
