Did not know that, I knew people who worked with him and said he was a delight but that was one off projects not long sustained projects. Further he seemed to be self aware and taking the piss out of himself but that is also gone. Just shows you can’t always believe what you see.

Yeah, the bummer is he used to have a sense of humour about it. Just at some point something changed in him and it’s kind of sad. He is hardly alone in that happening it’s just sad to see when he seemed like a nice human for a time.

You friend win the internet.

The demographic here is largely not its target, they are not going to watch it (or if they do it’d be a pirated spite watch). Raising awareness is not marketing.

Sorbo actually bummed me out (sort of like the action version of Dennis Miller). Before he lost his flipping mind he appeared on a sketch comedy show here in Toronto where they made fun of him. He seemed nice, friendly and kind. He’s not alone in losing his mind, I have to wonder what happened during the lead up to

Genuinely shocked they didn’t get the guy from Mr. Show on the lamb from the FBI for being in the January 6th riots. This seems right up his alley.

I’m guessing you didn’t read the part where it mentions his long career as an actor and even appearing as a Bond villain. Look, accuse it of being click bait all you want, but try and at least get the facts straight. I mean he was in frickin’ Goonies and Die Hard. He’s not a “minor voice actor” he’s a firmly

True, that said, it does happen. Canadian authorities have been pretty cooperative (see the recent Bungie threats and forcing companies to turn over user data) and law enforcement have worked to get people tried (see the Saskatoon kid that Canadian police forces helped track down and assisted New Jersey police in

I didn’t read that as shade though, I read it as “I really love my grandma, she drives me nuts but we’re really close”. In fact it seemed rather loving and the kind of ribbing a comedian like Whoopi would enjoy. (I’ve seen her do far worse to people she loved before.)

Came very close to un-graying someone defending KiwiFarms and using easily disproved information to try and victim blame on this. It was a prize piece of Sea Lioning to boot. I don’t know how or why anyone in good faith would or could defend KiwiFarms.

Because laws are not sufficient to address it, it lies in a legal limbo. A grey space where insufficient attention has been paid and given the general targets politicians aren’t prone to paying attention. I suspect as Millennial and Gen Z politicians make it into office we’ll see more attention spared for it.

It’s a the catch 22 of “letting them win” by showing she’s surviving she’s able to lend some semblance of stability and comfort to others going through this with her but it put herself at risk. I suspect she’ll be more careful now (though it’s sad she needs to).

How is KiwiFarms still up? It’s been at the core of so many illegal activities it’s a shock it’s still able to operate.

To answer what’s the point, there are a ton of people who’ve never read the comic now exposed to this work and are seeking it out. I read the comics when they first dropped and am a long time fan and disagree with the take. You’re entitled to your criticisms but I don’t see them, I thought it was a great adaptation

Sure bro, nice story. Pics or it didn’t happen.

You’ve never actually read a TOS have you?

Counterpoint, just because adults use a thing doesn’t make it an adult thing and adults getting up in kids things and making it weird for kids is kind of shitty.

It’s a pretty common rhetorical tactic to say diminishing things like “it wont do anything”. It makes the action look like a platitude, a gesture for optics that wont address the underlying problem (see the gun lobby as another example of this). By diminishing the effectiveness they turn people’s attention away to

Because cyberbullying has led to acts of self harm by children. As a child facing application this needs to be monitored carefully.

If you are cool with “hate speech, bullying, harassing, sexual solicitation, or threatening others” I mean... maybe you’re the problem?
