Exactly! That’s what I don’t understand, nothing can “ruin your childhood” or what ever like hyperbole is being used. You don’t like something, don’t watch, move on and enjoy something else. I just don’t understand how people can expend so much energy being so negative.

Growing up in that window between Classic Trek’s release and before TNG I remember this all too well. I mean TNG’s first season was a clunker but when it found its stride it was astounding (and it’s what I consider “my Trek”). Trek evolved over the years and it’s always been reflective of its time providing commentary

Nothing like Trek fans to be consistently negative. I can understand things not being for everyone and everyone enjoying different things but holy cow. I mean I remember back to DS9 being loathed by fandom for a good stretch and Enterprise being called garbage but not being hailed as a lost treasure in some corners. I

I would counter by saying they do want the majority of the company’s staff just not the leadership. The axe will continue to fall on those who were abusers but the rank and file will stay because that’s a big work force they need. The IPs are, by in large, dormant. They need to build out a stable of studios to act

Hey, I’m not saying the should or shouldn’t just saying I can understand the logic.

I can see that argument, I also see the counter that it’s a part of the culture so should be covered. I can respect that though so fair point.

Except that’s not true, they do cover it but it’s not seen (now that’s a problem in and of itself but is a demonstrable fact). Doing a simple search search of their posted articles I can see that’s not true. Results as follows:

Warzone and the “Harry Potter Meta”

Elsewhere in the comments you use what could be described as hate speech. I didn’t call you everything wrong with the internet, you correctly self identified as that so *shrug* congratulations? (Also, people have been on the internet to see the game you’re playing, very good sea lioning.)

Sadly it’s appropriate for Kotaku to cover this as twitch is a platform tied to gaming culture and many people like to use it and these asshats behaviour impacts the ecosystem. That said, it’s exactly why I’ll NEVER use twitch other than to watch friends.

Look, people like watching what they like watching but all this nonsense is baffling. It was bad enough when we had this nonsense from YouTubers now it’s on video game streaming platforms too! It’s all a weird outgrowth from debutante culture and highschool cliques. The cool kids want to be cool and they create this

No as Bungie was never owned by Activision it was a publishing deal which they bought themselves out of years ago.

All fair points but remember, this is the same company that a little more than a month ago sent vaguely threatening anti-union letters out to employees. They have made weird choices lately that are not the wisest.

We don’t know the cause of firing, these could be people raising complaints or trying to organize workers during the ongoing strike or they could be abusers. We don’t know, the lack of transparency is problematic at best.

Not based on how they’ve handled the PR to date, no, they would want to obfuscate as much as possible. Remember a large number of the top people at the company are from the Republican political machine. It’s all about obfuscation and deception.

I’m guessing it’s going to ignore Lazarus. I’m a huge Bowie fan and I’m not immediately against this but I’m incredibly sceptical.

Speaking as a former 3rd wave Mod for teenagers Vespas and Top Shop suits find a way and dream of riding your scootah the heck out of town. I only assume Space Teenagers will find a way for Space Vespas and Space Top Shop suits. I mean not everyone’s a Dune Sea valley kid going to Tosche Station to get some power

That’s a bummer BUT implying voice actors are into get rich schemes is kind of disingenuous. Knowing voice actors they are getting screwed by both the animation and game industry. They’re increasingly marginalised and their union is not being particularly supportive. I could understand why they’d look at alternatives.

True but when we’re talking 3.5 million dollars anyone who has that much of a fool to part with that much money it’s probably inconsequential to them so... kind of screw them? It’s difficult, ethically, of course wrong. From a karmic point of view though, he kind of had it coming. Here’s the ultimate thing though, in

Jimmy would 100% have been in that Space Mod gang!

That’s the vibe I have for where it’s going too. Agreed, it’s some great world building.
