I wanted to support brick and mortar stores so called the EB to ask when I should swing by. They couldn’t even tell me the time (I’m not going to lurk about a store for hours because 1 - I have a day job 2 - it’s the middle of a pandemic). So decide to try the online and it’s a total mess. None of the platforms are

Certainly more legit than the number of searches on Google. That’s a really flimsy stretch on Apple’s legal team which, if it was really the case, they should have a ton of data from better sources (i.e. transaction counts in the apple store) that would better bolster their argument.

Fair enough, but that doesn’t change what he’s doing PR for is a vision that is pushing towards an inclusive ecosystem (because that’s the only way MS can compete). I mean we can look at Mojang as an example. I suspect they’ll follow a similar move there on other titles.

The only mixer I see is the one this post came out of.

Nah that’s a Square-Enix move.

I don’t think they’ll mess with existing titles and deals (except maybe remove exclusivity on some titles paying Sony back their money) BUT I could see them making future titles exclusive (or timed exclusive) not to mention placing them on Gamepass.

Out of curiosity do you actually know anyone at Rare? I’ve spoken with people at Rare and they have had wonderful experiences. Mileage may vary but MS are not the same MS they were 15 or 20 years ago and they continue to evolve.

It really undermines the messaging Phil has been nurturing about open game environments and cross play if he didn’t support that. Though I suspect there will be some new titles that are Xbox/PC exclusive I don’t see them undermining existing properties.

I’m impressed by some of the deeper cuts in there. I mean that first living room and kitchen are almost identical to the ones in the Dick Van Dyke show. There’s some interesting exploration of these characters here that has me really excited and using pop culture touchstones in this way is intriguing.

She’s the new Adam Baldwin which makes me sad.

Trans-exclusionary radical feminists coined the term. It is literally a descriptor of self (as mainstream feminism embraces trans women they are considered radical and exclusionary in their thinking). It’s not a slur or hateful when the person is self-describing as that.

To be fair, I don’t see anything on Gina’s feed indicating she’s a feminist just transphobic.

Well The Child is learning fast! Can’t wait for this.

Thanks for clarifying. :-)

Well, I have no clue how I’m going to fit that into my entertainment centre. :-/

Not just that, there’s a company out of Montreal that big studios use to hire and pay people in the public to do pre-alpha, alpha and beta testing. Some times it’s hammering login servers for hours some times it’s full gameplay. This is just extending out the field to those willing to volunteer. Hopefully though they

They do pay for testing, I think it’s being presented as an opportunity for people who want to get involved. If there’s some form of compensation for the work it’s actually a nice move. We’ll have to see how it’s implemented. That said, at least they’re trying to do more testing. Given their history with bugs this is

It’s a company full of sexual abusers and people who victimized their employees. It’s kind of on brand for them to not really understand that this guy is a bad guy. Just because he’s fighting for the right thing doesn’t make him a good guy. The shitty part is, the compelling character in the first story, got fridged

Nope, the man was a sociopath, your reaction is the correct one. Watchdogs 2 did a lot to undo the damage done by the sloppy story and horrible character from the first game. The first game’s story was a pastiche of noir tropes that were sloppily applied and his character did not translate well. The ludo-narrative

So, did they get the “How Did This Get Made” team to write the film? This is literally a joke they made on their last episode about the series (which they love for it’s bananas nature).
